Tinby x Plastic Pavilion 2023

Tinby is a part of the Plastic Pavilion 2023 at UIA World Congress of Architect in Copenhagen. Alongside sister companies from SP Group, we are a part of shedding a light on the crucial and inevitable part plastic plays in building, creating, and shaping a sustainable future.

Plastic is an indispensable raw material and is found all around us in the products used for everyday life. At the Plastic Pavilion in Copenhagen 2023 Tinby is a part of highlighting our products for the building industry. Insulation using PUR and PIR foam improve the energy efficiency of buildings and reduce the emissions of CO2. PUR and PIR are some of the most efficient materials for insulation. It is possible to attain a high thermal performance with minimal insulation thickness by using these materials.

These products for the building industry will be at the exhibition between June 19 to July 14.

Tinby Skumplast's polyurethane foam panels are used for insulation in refrigerated and freezer trucks, containers, and other transportation units due to the material's low weight and high compressive strength. Our goal is to reach potential customers and showcase our capabilities at the exhibition.

PURfection: New Danish-developed technology aims to create a circular solution for a widely used plastic type.

Polyurethane – also known as PUR – is used in everything from refrigerators, shoes, and mattresses to wind turbine blades and cars. This versatile plastic type makes up eight percent of global plastic production but is very difficult to recycle. Now, a number of large companies and knowledge partners are joining forces to make used PUR plastic recyclable, so it can replace fossil-based polyurethane.

Tinby Skumplast A/S and Tinby A/S will merge as of June 21, 2022.

Tinby Skumplast A/S moved from Tjæreborg to Søndersø in early 2021, where Tinby A/S is located. Michael V. Therkelsen, who is the CEO of Tinby A/S, still holds the overall responsibility for the Tinby Group, including the former Tinby Skumplast A/S. Kim Holm Hansen continues to be responsible for the daily operations at Sunekær.

Tinby Skumplast is moving to Søndersø.

Tinby Skumplast is relocating its production to Søndersø on Funen. There is significant growth in the products from Tinby Skumplast at the moment, and we are expecting further growth in the coming years. The move is intended to meet the increasing space requirements and ensure the continued well-known quality of the products.
