Flexible PUR is an ideal material for furniture – especially for parts that come into physical contact with the user, such as the seat, backrest, and armrests. When these are made from flexible PUR, they will have a surface that feels pleasant to touch and interact with, offering high comfort during use.

Flexible PUR provides a high level of comfort
Flexible PUR provides high comfort for the user and is an extremely touch-friendly material. At the same time, the surface is strong enough to withstand daily wear and tear. The material is easy to clean and can withstand temperatures of up to 80º C.
The parts made of flexible PUR are often characterised by the design of the end product. Thus, the finish of these components is often important for the overall impression of the design.
Flexible PUR is an ideal material for rehabilitation products and furniture, especially those parts that come into contact with the user. Flexible PUR is an extremely durable material and can also be used as e.g. bottom parts on outriggers and as dampers in cold storage warehouses.

Design in solid PUR
Solid PUR: Freedom of design and high finish guaranteed
By means of solid PUR you can realize even very advanced designs. In that way, you get free rein in terms of shape and design with a material that can be shaped in ways that both function, aesthetics and design determine the result.
Curved surfaces, lacquering or moulded details can very precisely be made in a simple process. It is difficult for traditional plastic to match these possibilities.
At Tinby we mould complex components in solid PUR from 200 gram to 50 kg. Components can be moulded with ribs, recesses, snap functions and numerous additional moulded details. We are also able to provide the component with a conductive paint in order to protect the electronics from unwanted radiation.
Only imagination sets the limits for what Tinby can create in solid PUR.
It is possible to embed elements such as bushings, reinforcements, or electronic components in a single production step, making subsequent assembly work unnecessary. Large items can be molded at competitive prices in small batch sizes. Frequent model changes or design modifications are feasible, as tool costs for PUR are relatively low.
Areas of application of solid PUR include, among others:
