The Beat Chair
Personality shaped by organic design
Savir Design is a Danish furniture manufacturer that places a strong emphasis on sustainability and solid craftsmanship throughout its design and styling process.
When the company presented the idea of a new chair to furniture architect and designer Thomas Pedersen, who was to help them develop the new product further, they had a clear vision of what they wanted. They aimed to incorporate the best features of traditional plastic, wood, and veneer design while taking advantage of the design freedom offered by the PUR material. The chair was intended to bring something new in terms of expression, design, and seating comfort. The result was The BEAT Chair – a chair that exudes personality through its distinctive, organic design language.

Freedom of design meets functionality
Tinby casts the seat and backrest for the chair in a flexible integral foam. This material offers great design freedom and a wide range of user-related benefits, including high abrasion resistance.
The BEAT Chair has received approval in accordance with EN1022 and EN16139 L2 'extreme use'. This indicates that the chair is particularly suitable for environments such as airports and hospitals.
With PUR, it is possible to achieve excellent seating comfort. This is especially advantageous in settings where upholstered furniture cannot be used due to wear or hygiene concerns.
Practical and noise-dampening
PUR is resistant to bacteria, easy to clean – and the material gently conforms to the user. In addition, PUR dampens noise and vibrations. It contains no phthalates or other harmful substances, and it complies with the RoHS and REACH regulations.
The BEAT Chair has also been tested to support a body weight of up to 200 kg.
