Prototype mold concept

Have you heard about our unique prototype mold concept?

Tinby’s prototype mold concept is unique and flexible. This means that we manufacture prototype molds ourselves, allowing our customers to have their product molded and receive samples before investing in expensive molds.

Between 5 and 20 items can be molded in a prototype mold – after which it must be discarded, and the customer will need to have aluminum molds made for future production.

From idea to product – quickly and at the lowest cost.

When we develop mold tools for a customer, we maintain close and direct contact with the customer throughout the entire process. This ensures direct communication, minimizing errors. As a result, the journey from idea to finished product becomes safer, shorter, and more cost-effective with the production of prototype tools.

Specialists manufacture the molds.

We naturally employ trained specialists with extensive expertise who can both prepare the customer’s own molds and designs, as well as manufacture prototype molds. In the case of more advanced molds, we have them produced by external tool manufacturers.

Tinby has just acquired advanced 3D scanners, allowing the customer's prototype model to be transferred to 3D CAD and CAM. This way, we can always create the necessary tool.

At Tinby A/S, we are always ready to provide advice when starting new prototype molds. Contact us for more information.

IAA and WindEnergy 2024

Tinby Skumplast's polyurethane foam panels are used for insulation in refrigerated and freezer trucks, containers, and other transportation units due to the material's low weight and high compressive strength. Our goal is to reach potential customers and showcase our capabilities at the exhibition.

PURfection: New Danish-developed technology aims to create a circular solution for a widely used plastic type.

Polyurethane – also known as PUR – is used in everything from refrigerators, shoes, and mattresses to wind turbine blades and cars. This versatile plastic type makes up eight percent of global plastic production but is very difficult to recycle. Now, a number of large companies and knowledge partners are joining forces to make used PUR plastic recyclable, so it can replace fossil-based polyurethane.
