New Sales and Marketing Manager at Tinby A/S

On 1 August 2020, 59-year-old Erik Kaag was appointed Sales and Marketing Manager at Tinby A/S. He takes over in the role from Michael V. Therkelsen, who earlier this year was appointed as the successor to Managing Director Torben Nielsen, who wanted to cut back on his hours in preparation for his impending retirement.

Erik Kaag graduated from Aalborg University with a degree in civil engineering which included courses in strategic planning, finance, purchasing, logistics and production management. He joins us from his previous role as Sales Manager for the Swedish concern Trioplast Nyborg A/S with 1000 employees where, from 2011 onwards, he was responsible for the development and sale of refuse bags made out of recycled plastic and other polyethylene foam packaging solutions for the Scandinavian and German markets. Highlights of his career include positions such as Sales Manager at Movetec A/S, Key Account Manager at Sanistål A/S and Sales and Marketing Manager at Ib Andresen Industri A/S in Langeskov.

In his previous posts, Erik applied his strategic, innovative and result-oriented profile to ensure that he was instrumental in strengthening and developing sales efforts and delivering excellent results to boot. As a key figure in the Tinby organisation, Erik 's task here will also be to manage, develop and strengthen the sales and marketing operation, supplying a large number of customer segments across the globe with optimal Tinby solutions.

We'd like to extend a very warm welcome to Erik!

PURfection: New Danish-developed technology aims to create a circular solution for a widely used plastic type.

Polyurethane – also known as PUR – is used in everything from refrigerators, shoes, and mattresses to wind turbine blades and cars. This versatile plastic type makes up eight percent of global plastic production but is very difficult to recycle. Now, a number of large companies and knowledge partners are joining forces to make used PUR plastic recyclable, so it can replace fossil-based polyurethane.
