LM Skumplast A/S has become Tinby Skumplast A/S.

We are pleased to announce that, as of January 6, 2017, we have sold LM Skumplast A/S to Tinby A/S in Søndersø, Funen – a company that is part of the publicly listed group SP Group A/S.

The sale is aimed at strengthening our position in the market, and both my colleagues and I are pleased that we are now becoming part of a strong group within the plastics industry.

All employees, including myself as CEO, will continue with the company, which, in connection with the acquisition, will change its name to Tinby Skumplast A/S.

At the same time, the CEO of Tinby A/S has joined as the chairman of the board of Tinby Skumplast A/S.

Our activities will continue with unchanged strength from the headquarters and production halls on Industrivej in Tjæreborg.

Tinby Skumplast A/S will thus continue to supply polyurethane-based boards and profiles with high insulation properties to customers in the refrigeration and transport industries, as well as the construction industry, from our production halls in Tjæreborg.

We look forward to combining our extensive experience in polyurethane-based foam boards with Tinby A/S's 45 years of know-how in the development, production, and sales of PUR products worldwide. The synergy effect is obvious, and we are excited to strengthen our competitiveness together and create an even stronger position in the market for both us and our customers.

We look forward to continuing the collaboration with our customers.

Best regards

Tinby Skumplast A/S

Kim Hansen
CEO (Chief Executive Officer)

PURfection: New Danish-developed technology aims to create a circular solution for a widely used plastic type.

Polyurethane – also known as PUR – is used in everything from refrigerators, shoes, and mattresses to wind turbine blades and cars. This versatile plastic type makes up eight percent of global plastic production but is very difficult to recycle. Now, a number of large companies and knowledge partners are joining forces to make used PUR plastic recyclable, so it can replace fossil-based polyurethane.
