Briiso
A sustainable façade system
The company Briiso ApS specializes in materials for retrofitting building insulation and has developed the highly insulating façade system briiso.
The briiso façade system consists of a rigid foam panel combined with an outer façade shell made from real bricks.
Thus, the briiso façade system includes an insulating PIR foam panel—a relatively new insulation material in the Danish construction industry.

About the product
In collaboration with the customer and raw material supplier, Tinby Skumplast has contributed to developing the highly insulating PIR foam panels used in the sandwich construction of the briiso façade system.
The customer's goal was to develop a façade insulation product that would efficiently retrofit brick buildings without compromising their architectural character and originality. With PIR foam's base lambda value of approximately 0.016 kcal/m·h·°C, providing exceptional insulation properties, this material enabled the creation of façade insulation that was 30% thinner than traditional insulation products while maintaining the same insulating effect.
Additionally, PIR foam offers high fire resistance and excellent compressive strength.
The material was thus an obvious choice for the sustainable and maintenance-free Briiso façade system. The PIR foam panels are molded into blocks, forming a hardened, closed-cell material that gives it excellent insulating properties. The blocks are processed at Tinby's factory in Sunekær, Søndersø, and delivered as easy-to-install sections.
All foam panels are molded and processed according to individual customer specifications.
