Tinby Skumplast is moving to Søndersø.

Tinby Skumplast is relocating its production to Søndersø on Funen. There is significant growth in the products from Tinby Skumplast at the moment, and we are expecting further growth in the coming years. The move is intended to meet the increasing space requirements and ensure the continued well-known quality of the products.

As part of Tinby's strategy, we are consolidating our Danish operations in Søndersø. Therefore, we are in the process of moving Tinby Skumplast from Tjæreborg to Søndersø. The relocation will be completed in March 2021.

The relocation is taking place to create space for the growth we are currently seeing in our products from Tinby Skumplast, as well as the further growth we expect in the coming years. The growth is partly driven by an increased focus on minimizing heat loss in existing and new buildings within private homes and industrial buildings.

The current CEO of Tinby Skumplast, Kim Hansen, will remain as CEO. A number of our skilled employees from Tjæreborg will also join the team, ensuring the well-known quality of our products during the relocation to Søndersø.

The new contact information will be:

Tinby Skumplast's polyurethane foam panels are used for insulation in refrigerated and freezer trucks, containers, and other transportation units due to the material's low weight and high compressive strength. Our goal is to reach potential customers and showcase our capabilities at the exhibition.

PURfection: New Danish-developed technology aims to create a circular solution for a widely used plastic type.

Polyurethane – also known as PUR – is used in everything from refrigerators, shoes, and mattresses to wind turbine blades and cars. This versatile plastic type makes up eight percent of global plastic production but is very difficult to recycle. Now, a number of large companies and knowledge partners are joining forces to make used PUR plastic recyclable, so it can replace fossil-based polyurethane.
