Trade fairs postponed due to Covid-19

The trade fair industry is one of the sectors heavily affected by Covid-19. Several of the fairs that Tinby had planned to visit and exhibit at have been postponed. So far, this includes the JEC fair in Paris and the SHK fair in Essen.

The rapid spread of the Covid-19 virus in recent weeks, first detected in China shortly before the New Year, has already had a significant impact on the trade fair industry, affecting Tinby's exhibition activities as well. Tinby was scheduled to visit the JEC fair in Paris last week and exhibit at the SHK fair in Essen this week, but the organizers have decided to postpone the events to ensure the safety of participants and exhibitors.

The composite fair JEC World 2020, originally scheduled for March 3-5, has now been postponed to May 12-14. Meanwhile, SHK Essen, which was set to take place from March 10-13 and is one of the key meeting points for companies working with energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in sanitation, heating, air conditioning, and digital building management, has now been rescheduled for September 1-4.

Tinby Skumplast's polyurethane foam panels are used for insulation in refrigerated and freezer trucks, containers, and other transportation units due to the material's low weight and high compressive strength. Our goal is to reach potential customers and showcase our capabilities at the exhibition.

PURfection: New Danish-developed technology aims to create a circular solution for a widely used plastic type.

Polyurethane – also known as PUR – is used in everything from refrigerators, shoes, and mattresses to wind turbine blades and cars. This versatile plastic type makes up eight percent of global plastic production but is very difficult to recycle. Now, a number of large companies and knowledge partners are joining forces to make used PUR plastic recyclable, so it can replace fossil-based polyurethane.

Tinby x Plastic Pavilion 2023

Tinby is exhibiting at the Plastic Pavilion 2023 at the UIA World Congress of Architects in Copenhagen. Together with our sister companies, we are highlighting the importance of the indispensable properties of plastic and the role they play in building, creating, and shaping a greener future.
