Heat exchangers
Gemina Termix - insulation parts for heat exchangers
Gemina Termix’s product range within district heating systems is extensive. The company produces both small and large systems: From district heating systems with just a few kW, typically used for apartments and single-family homes, to large compact stations with several MW.
The company has a leading position on the Danish market and a major export share – a success that is mainly due to their basic desire for continuous innovation.
Production centre dedicated to the insulation of heat exchangers
Tinby A/S assumed the responsibility for the production of the insulating part of Gemina Termix’ heat exchangers when the company decided to outsource this task. The insulating part of the heat exchangers is thus moulded at Tiny A/S’ works in Denmark, where a production hall was reorganised and equipped with a layout that precisely meets the requirements for this production, thereby also ensuring maximum flexibility and quality for Gemina Termix.
Maximum energy efficiency
Black insulating foam with a density of 110 g/l is used for the insulation of the heat exchangers.
Because PUR is one of the available insulating materials that has the best chemical, thermal and mechanical properties, it is possible to achieve maximum energy efficiency – also in the case of small wall thicknesses.
The practical lambda value is about 0.028 W/mK. The insulation also acts as a protective “cabinet” around the heat exchanger parts.
